Fulvacin is an anti-fungal medication. Fulvacin is like an antibiotic but is used to treat fungal infections.

When administered by mouth Fulvacin concentrates itself in keratin, a protein which is present in all of these areas. Fulvacin is thought to work by interfering with fungal cell growth and replication. Fulvacin does not kill an established fungal infection but instead prevents infection of new keratin in these areas.
Fulvacin is frequently used to treat fungal infections of the nail-bed and ringworm (tinea) that has not responded to other forms of treatment.

Take each dose of Fulvacin with a full glass (8 ounces) of water.
To minimize stomach irritation and help your body absorb Fulvacin , take Fulvacin at meal times or with food or whole milk. If you are on a low fat diet, check with your doctor.
