It may take up to 3 months to see the effects of Cleocin-T . Do not stop using Cleocin-T if you do not see results immediately.
Although applied only to the skin, some of Cleocin-T could be absorbed into the bloodstream; and it has been known to cause severe--sometimes even fatal--colitis (an inflammation of the lower bowel) when taken internally. Symptoms, which can occur a few days, weeks, or months after beginning treatment with Cleocin-T , include severe diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, and the possibility of the passage of blood.
Stop using Cleocin-T and talk to your doctor if you experience severe diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, or abdominal pain.
Avoid your eyes, nose, mouth, and lips when applying Cleocin-T . If medication gets in any of these areas, wash with water.
Special precautions if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
The effects of Cleocin-T during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately.
Cleocin-T passes into breast milk and may affect a nursing infant. Do not use Cleocin-T without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Cleocin-T preparation is for external use only.
Use caution when applying Cleocin-T so as not to get it in the eyes, nose, mouth, or skin abrasions. In the event of accidental contact, rinse the affected area with cool water.
Use Cleocin-T with caution if you have hay fever, asthma, or eczema.
Why Cleocin-T should not be prescribed?
If you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to Cleocin-T or similar drugs, such as Lincocin, you should not use this medication. Make sure your doctor is aware of any drug reactions you have experienced.
Unless you are directed to do so by your doctor, do not take Cleocin-T if you have ever had an intestinal inflammation, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis.
