For oral dosage form (tablets):

| Digoxin: Sparfloxacin (Zagam) has no effect on the pharmacokinetics of digoxin.
Methylxanthines: Sparfloxacin (Zagam) does not increase plasma theophylline concentrations. Since there is no interaction with theophylline, interaction with other methylxanthines such as caffeine is unlikely.
Warfarin: Sparfloxacin (Zagam) does not increase the anti-coagulant effect of warfarin.
Cimetidine: Cimetidine does not affect the pharmacokinetics of Sparfloxacin (Zagam).
Antacids and Sucralfate: Aluminum and

| Studies have not been done in humans. However, use of Zagam is not recommended during pregnancy since Zagam may cause bone development problems in young animals.
Breast-feeding- Some of the fluoroquinolones are known to pass into human breast milk. Since fluoroquinolones have been reported to cause bone development problems in young animals, breast-feeding is not recommended during treatment with these medicines
