Pyrazinamide passes into the breast milk, but at normal doses it is unlikely to harm the baby. Discuss with your doctor.

Special warnings about Pyrazinamide
Pyrazinamide can cause serious liver problems, especially if you are also taking Rifampin. Make sure you understand the risks for liver problems and how to identify the symptoms. If you are diabetic note that Pyrazinamide can interfere with urine ketone determination tests, causing a pink-brown result. Check with your prescriber or health care professional before you change your diet or the dose of your diabetic medicine.

Why Pyrazinamide should not be prescribed ?
Pyrazinamide should not be used if you have liver disease or life long inherited blood diseases, which can cause a variety of symptoms, including mental health problems (porphyrias).

Pyrazinamide should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
