Possible food and drug interactions with Hydroxyzine
If Hydroxyzine is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Be sure to inform your doctor of all the prescription and over the counter medications you are taking.
Hydroxyzine may increase the effects of alcohol. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Hydroxyzine with
- Barbiturates (such as Seconal and Phenobarbital),
- Narcotics (such as Demerol and Percocet), or
- Non-narcotic analgesics (such as Motrin and Tylenol).
