Special information on Amlodipine 5 mg, If you are pregnant or breastfeeding:
The effects of Amlodipine 5 mg during pregnancy have not been adequately studied.
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, tell your doctor immediately.
Amlodipine 5 mg should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
Amlodipine 5 mg may appear in breast milk. If Amlodipine 5 mg is essential to
your health, your doctor may tell you to discontinue breastfeeding your baby
until your treatment with Amlodipine 5 mg is finished.
Most important fact about Amlodipine 5 mg: If you have high blood pressure,
you must take Amlodipine 5 mg regularly for it to be effective. Since blood pressure
declines gradually, it may be several weeks before you get the full benefit
of Amlodipine 5 mg; and you must continue taking it even if you are feeling well.
Amlodipine 5 mg does not cure high blood pressure; it merely keeps it under control.
